On The Role Of Political Associations In The Process Of Democratization In China

China is just stepping in process of the fall construction of socialist modernization including the political modernization. The final target for the political construction of China is to establish the democratic politics in our country. China has been devoting much attention to the construction of indirect democratic politics, the cardinal social system of China - the system of the people's congress. With the rapid development of the construction of Chinese political democratization, the direct democratic construction is becoming rather important while the construction of political masses organization (hereafter called to PMO) is taking an inestimable role in process of Chinese democratization. PMO, which is centered on political task, represents the interests of a certain number of social masses, participates in the national political events, exerts influence over the government and political party, being as a social strength, by means of people's views and actions and through the mutual acceleration between the political masses and the government and the political party, reflects and safeguards the interests of social masses organizations themselves. As stated above, PMO possesses the features of non-profitable and folk organization. PMO has come to the present flourishing prospect with the past course of more than a century, especially since the reform and open-door policies in China, enormous changes that have happened in respects of economy, politics, social life as well as the cultural ideas provide the complete new soil for the growth of PMO. Now, PMO is taking more and more greater effect on the political affairs and events in our country.The author of this essay will discuss the following 3 parts, i.e.(l) the position and effect of PMO in political life of our country.(2) the influence and effect of PMO to democratic politics.(3) the development and the perfection of PMO. The first part of the essay will tell the reader the implication, classification, structure, development and the existing status,especially focus on the position and effect of PMO in our political life. The third part will discuss and analysis the features of PMO; the problems that are being confronted with the development and perfection of PMO and its solution; the functional development trend of PMO, to display t he new features and trends of its development of PMO. The purpose for the author to discuss the role of PMO in process of democratization of China is to advance the construction of PMO, to speed up the development of our democratic construction and promote the development and perfection of our socialist construction with the Chinese special characteristics.
