Study Of The Competitiveness Of State-owned Enterprises

With Chinese entry of WTO, the steps of economy globalization and marketing international are accelerating and accelerating. Chinese enterprises will get an excellent chance to own international market share, but they have to face the severity challenge of foreign market. Subsistence and development of Chinese enterprises fully depend on whether or not they have enough competencies to fight foreign corporation.Nowadays, researching of corporation competency attract more and more attention in the field of economy and management. This text discussed the historical development of competency theory, the relationship between competency and core competency. And based on the analyzing of Chinese state-owned-enterprise competency, it pointed that establishing corporation competency includes three processes, there are cultivating, recognizing, and expanding corporation core competency.And it has expatiated on establishing and strengthening state-owned-enterprises core competency in China must enhance management in 4 aspects. They are corporation structure management, strategy management, technology innovation management and corporation culture management.Finally, the author analyzed Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide Works using the core competency theory. He found some weakness of ZCCW, and gives a lot of practical suggestion about how to improve the core competency of ZCCW.
