Competitive Analysis And Countermeasures Of China's Sinopec

Petroleum industry is the pillar industry of our national economy and has great effect on the development of our country's economy. After China's entry into the WTO, the threat from the transnational petroleum and petrochemical companies is becoming greater, so it has been an important part of our country's industry policies to improve the competitiveness of Chinese petrochemical industry. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to research into the competitiveness of Sinopec (China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation).This article first sums up the development of the theories in existence both at home and abroad about enterprise competitiveness anatomizes the implication of enterprise competitiveness and the factors that may affect it. After that, combined with the characteristics of petrochemical industry, it constructs an evaluation index -system of the enterprise competitiveness in the petrochemical industry, suggesting the three major aspects that affect the enterprise competitiveness: the foundational ability, the ability to be in harmony with the environment, and the ability to achieve sustainable development, and choosing 38 evaluation indexes as the critical elements of the evaluation system. Finally, this article chooses Chinese Petroleum Corporation, Exxon, Shell, BP, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in Japan, and SK in Korea these six companies as the rivals of China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, and applies the evaluation system to make a demonstration research, based on which countermeasures are put forward to improve the competitiveness of Sinopec.
