The designation of the salary system, one of the most important topics that economists and managers throughout the world concern, is not only the vital part of human resources management but also an essential component of establishing the modern enterprise system. The reforming of the salary system which is the basis of reforming of three Institutions in the state-owned enterprises has a great influence on enterprise' s daily production and management activities, and also it has further influences on the development of the enterprise and the achievement of all the strategic goals. It has been an important topic for the state-owned enterprise to design and establish a set of salary system that is scientific, coincident with the enterprise' s characteristics and helpful for the realization of strategic goals of the enterprise. The managers, especially those of the state-owned enterprises have put a lot of energy and used many advanced techniques in the designation of salary system. In recent years the state-owned enterprises have done many researches on establishing the scientific salary system and found some practical salary systems. But these researches is far from perfect, and there is insufficient researches especially for the gold manufacturing enterprise to establish a salary system that can fit to the market economy and the modern enterprise system. So the essay chooses this topic to research.Under the guidance of the Marxism economics, western economics and relevant human- resource management theories, the essay redesign the salary system of Shandong Gold Cooperation Company after analyzing the current salary system and both internal and external factors that influence it.The essay is composed of five parts. The first part mainly states the background, purpose and signification of the researches and defines the scope of the researches. The second part states the history of Shandong Gold Cooperation Company' s current salary system, analyses the advantages and disadvantages and of this system, explains the basic theory of salary, analyses the influence factors of salary and presents the definition of salary. The third part redesigns the structure and level of salaries for the employees in headquarter based on the job analysis, position evaluation and performance of achievement. The fourth part redesigns the salary system for branches of Shandong Gold Cooperation Company, and offers an evaluation of branches' salary system. The fifth part presents the conclusion of the researches for the salary system.The results of the essay may provide some valuable bases for the designation of salary system of gold enterprises.
