In the process of the reform of our country's legal education, it is critical to reform legal teaching mode because its importance in the legal education, the only way is taking the reality of our country's legal education into consideration, learning from advanced teaching experience abroad, and forming our teaching mode compatible with our country's legal education. Originated from USA, clinical legal education has such features: practice, illumination, and flexibility, which not only improves the development of legal education in USA, but also has been learned by many countries all around the world, and has some compatibility for the reform of our country's legal education. Through the methods of historical research and comparison research, the thesis make clear the historical development of clinical legal education, has the perspicuity of the connotation, feature and value, and finally puts forward the blueprint of clinical legal education in our country.In the preface of this thesis, it introduces the background of its subject, and the situation of the research of clinical legal education. In the first part, it states and analyzes the historical development of the clinical legal education, and its formation & spreading. In the second part, it discusses the basic contents of the clinical legal education, defines its connotation and feature, and researches the relationship between case method and clinical legal education. In the third part, the thesis evaluates the clinical legal education as a kind of teaching mode, including its values, defaults and functions. The forth part is the emphasis of this thesis, which is the designation of clinical legal education in our country, relating to its teaching objective, basic principles, fundamental structures, the system of evaluation, the teacher-resources and confirmation of their achievements, and students' identification, etc.
