Increase Farmers' Income

China is a great agricultural country with almost 0.9 billion farmers. The income level of the farmers attaches much importance not only to the sustainable, fast growth of the country's national economy, but also to the realization of the national economy development strategy. Therefore, the stable increase of the farmers' income has become a key factor to the growth of China's national economy.In this paper, the situation of Chinese farmers' income in the past more than twenty years was analyzed. Also, the characteristics of the farmers' income situation in the "Ninth Five-year Plan" period were examined. Based on the above, the reasons why the growth rate of farmers' income decreased and why the farmers' burden was over weighted in the past years were examined. Accordingly, some methods to increase the farmers' income, such as the regulation of agricultural structure, the increase of farmers' employment, the regulation of national income distribution structure and the relief of the farmers' burden, were proposed. By these methods, the sustainable and fast growth of national economy in China are to be guaranteed.
