On Mao's Independent Commission Against Thinking

Mao Zedong's upright and honest thought is an important part of Mao Zedong thought system. It plays an important role in Mao Zedong thought system. Being the core of the first-generation leading group of our Party, Mao Zedong attached much importance to building an honest and clean gouennment and explored it over a long period of time. In this paper, the author explores Mao Zedong's upright and honest thought in order to offer valuable experiences for today's building of an honest and clean government.Mao Zedong's upright and honest thought is expounded from of aspects in this paper.Part I: The author expounds the formation and developments of the thought from the periods of Mount Jinggang, Ruijin, Yan'an, the founding of the People's Republic of China to his later years.Part II: The contents of the thought are discussed and the characteristics of the thought are analyzed.Part III: The experiences and lessons of the thought are summarized so that the thought can be grasped as a whole.Part IV: The guiding functions of the thought at that time and the realistic significance for today are expounded, so the latest guiding value of the thought is stressed.In a word, the thought has been an important content of Our Party's self-building since the Party cane into being and especially since it was in power. It played an important role in seizing and consolidating the political power of the proletariat. In the new period, we should carry on and develop the reasonable content of the thought and keep our Party and government upright and honest permanently. We also should ensure a long period of peace and order of our Party and people's political power.
