Swot Analysis Of China's Lead And Zinc Smelting Industry

Lead and zinc metallurgy industry is the important second industry of China It is one of the important factors to influence the healthy, steady development of national economy of China. In the recent two years, the whole industry was faced with difficulties and went to the length of deficit. Taking into account its developing situations and combining my experiences in a representative company of lead and zinc metallurgy industry in China, the paper comes into being.Using SWOT analyzing method, the paper analyzes the lead and zinc metallurgy industry in China comprehensively. It analyzes the opportunities in the aspects of macro-economic environment, national industry policy, substitutes and entry into WTO. It also analyzes the threats in the aspects of relatively hysteretic development of backward related industry, ineffective barrier of entry & exit in some extent, increasingly strict requirement of environment protection. Then, it analyzes the strengths in the aspects of human resource, relative international competence of some representative companies, faster development of technology industrialization, improved integrated recovery and relative advantages of capital and cost. Next, it analyzes the weaknesses in the aspects of low industry concentration, reduced resource arrangement efficiency due to unfair competition, laggard technology of recycled lead production, small ratio of deep-processing products. Finally, it studies the countermeasures of lead and zinc metallurgy industry in China in the aspects of country, industry and company. After analyzing its SWOT, it can be found that the opportunities and threats coexist, the strengths and weaknesses coexist. It can also be found that if appropriate strategies are adopted in aspects of country, industry and enterprise, lead and zinc metallurgy industry of China should develop continuously.
