Software Project Supervision Mechanism

Software project, especially the large-scale software project can be regarded as a system engineering project. Therefore, the standardized software process management and control (SPMC) is essential to the project. For a long time, the deficiency of the experience of SPMC is the main obstacle to the software industry in our country. In recent years, some foreign research institutions and large-scale software enterprises have put forward some efficient methods of software process improvement. Due to the weakness of our country software foundation, only a few large software enterprises have the standardized process management. Therefore only relying on the own ability of enterprises is not enough to guarantee the quality of product. At the same time, because of lacking the pertinent knowledge in this field, the investors can hardly control the schedule and quality of the project. So some specialists suggest to introduce the supervision mechanism into software process. According to the architecture project supervision mechanism and our practice of supervision in the process development of the ODS management information system for China National Environment Protection Bureau, we bring forward a model for software supervision mechanism.This thesis will introduce the background first, then the software supervision mechanism, and finally will introduce a typical case of software supervision and our auxiliary software.
