Build Me A New Platform To Increase Farmers' Income : Industrialization, Urbanization, Knowledgeable

Since the reform and opening up to the outside world, farmers' incomes of our province in general had kept increasing comparatively fast, farmers' net incomes per capita rised from 113.3 yuan in 1978 to 2118 yuan in 2002, had increased by 17.74 times. Meanwhile,the growth rate of farmers' incomes in our province demonstrated P phased downward trend, especially since 1997, it was slow and weak to increase. Show concretely: 1. the income of labour remuneration increased continuously;2.the income of household menagement dropped for a long time;3. the income of household menagement in two and three industries increased steadily;4. the proportion of cash income improved constantly; 5. the income gaps of urban and rural residents continued widening;6. the farmers' incomes gaps between our province and the others were exposed day by day.Facing up to above-mentioned dynamic characteristics of farmers' incomes in our province, we must study their deep reason, it included mainly: 1. resource restriction; 2. market restriction; 3. system restriction; 4s manpower restriction. What especially merits attention is , as the agriculture and rural economy of our province stepped into a new developing stage, the function of mang original measures to support an increase in farmers' incomes had become weakened, which easy to get "near result" but difficult to obtain "far efficiency" . Such as adjusting the agricultural structures raising the price of agricu 1 tural products, developping the township enterprises, increasing the export of agricultural products,etc. Therefore,we should pay attention to an increase of fanners' i ncotncs, which WHS more related to the success or failure of our national economy and social development, furthmore, we should open .'.p the new field and seek the new source to increase farmers' incomes.Playing chese wanted to look for "chese eyes" , and curing diseases wanted to found out "old complaint" .How to increase farmers' incomes?There were three most important ways:agricultural industrialization, rural urbanization and more educated farmer. Among them,as for incre.ising farmers' incomes, agricultural industrialization was the primary channel, rural urbanization was the basic outlet,and more educated farmer were the key.This thesis attempeted to set up new platforms to increase farmers' incomes continuously.
