This article firstly begins from the major contradiction between managerial mode of modern enterprises and inside and outside environment as well as major characteristics of knowledge economic era, then describe the thoughts and opinions from 1960s to 1990s about business process reengineering(BPR), describe the origin and content of BPR.Secondly, based on a lot of BPR cases home and abroad ,this article brings forward: a systematic theory framework is needed when companies execute BPR. The framework includes a series of guidance principles, process of BPR and a series of methods and tools. Under the instruction of this framework, BPR is in the position to be run smoothly. The framework promotes the transformation of BPR from theory to reality, increase the feasibility of BPR, reduce the failure's feasibility of BPR.Finally, this article uses the framework practically in the research of BPR of company P, and the research achieves anticipated result. The article gets description of BPR and set up process's IDEF mode by analyzing present product development process. The article uses method ASME to analyze the time spent on every process and find out the non-value-added action in the process. This article uses method ABC to calculate process's real expenditure and design a new process on this base. New process implements the anticipated goal which is to reduce development time and cost. From the fact, we conclude that the theory framework has some meaning of guidance .it can reduce the feasibility of failure, save the resource which is spent on the process, make sure the process can be reengineered smoothly. The article points out that BPR is not matter which is a continuous process rather than just taken in one day or one night.
