With the rapid development of knoowledge economy, human resource has become the primary origin of enterprises' competence advantage , but at the same time , employee turnover is the main problem that currently confusing many enterprises.In this paper, at first, the definition, classification, cost and the realistic current circumstances of employee turnover are discussed, as well as the basic theories about this subject, such as principal ?agent theory, human capital theory and phsycological contract theory and so on, based on which the main factors contributing to emplyee turnover are analysised. Then, according to the valuable explerience of enterprises, domestic as well as oversea, the corresponding measures to lower the rate of employee turnover are put forward, such as the effective communications with candidates in the course of recruiting, the construction of reasonable rewards system, the concern on the emplyee's prospect as well as the maintainment of desirable working environment etc. Finally,exit interview is discussed.
