The narrow meaning of the Northeast Asia is that Japan, South Korea, North Korea, Northeast China, Far east Russia and Mongolia. In the history, they have been frequently trading each other for a long time. We can find a possibility of the market and cooperation chance in Northeast Asia country where have the variety of political, economical and cultural environment, concurrently have a plenty of nature source, labor, capital and social infrastructure. All of countries want to develop them but it needs enormous investment, including unpredictable dangerous. So it is very important for the Northeast Asia country to cooperate and establish an economic cooperation. But because of the politic and economic issue, the Northeast Asia has been not setting an economic cooperation. If we do it now, we will be one of the most powerful an economic cooperation as EU, NAFTA.The concept of the Northeast Asia economic cooperation was from Japan, 1968 and it is very remarkable even in now. Presently the Northeast Asia is getting the third economic cooperation in the world and many countries are in competition with each other for getting transportation goods. Specially, we are consider for the speed of the Northeast Asia economic development, if Korea does not build the good logistics system within several years, Korea economic development will be affected by the geographical location. Accordingly we should take advantage of the good location in the Northeast Asia, build more railway, airport and seaport. For Korea to establish a good environment of transportation network, further investment is required in its airport and seaport infrastructure. Furthermore, methods should be devised to link the existing Trans-Korea Railway with the continental railway system through cooperation with neighboring countries.Through this study it was found that a tight and comprehensive network linking Korea with the major cities of Northeast Asia must be undertaken. For this purpose, the Incheon international airport as well as the Busan and Gwangyang port's capacity must be enhanced. For Korea to maintain its supremacy over its neighbors in the logistics race, Korea would need to look forge a cooperative link with the major players in the logistics field to establish a international logistics route which would circumvent North Korea and link itself with the continental network. For this purpose, the early introduction of the international rail transport system suchas the rail-ferry network and the block train concept is necessary. If this concept is implemented effectively, Korea would not only overcome the challenges posed by the ever-changing logistics environment of Northeast Asia, but actually make a good economic condition of between the Korea peninsula and the Northeast Asia. In this study the following factors which would contribute in the Northeast Asia economic development and Korea railway transportation network construction were reviewed : current status of the airport and seaport of Korea including the need for investment in these facilities to enhance its handling capacity, linking of the TKR with the continental railway system for the establishment of a comprehensive network linking Korea and Northeast Asia, use of the rail-ferry, block train. Concurrently, careful analysis on the estimated traffic volume must be performed so as to be ready for the actual operation of the railway system. But it is more need to estimate of the rail traffic generated by the linkage of the TKR and the continental railway, a study on the matter is urgently required. However, such study has yet to be started. Although this study undertook a first study on the matter, a more detailed study on the amount of traffic to be generated, the number of rail stock required, and possible measured to induce the participation of the private sector is needed in the future...
