The hard management dominated by instrumental reason has created innumerable memories miracles for the human civilization, but with the coming of the IT era and Knowledge Economy it seems to come to the end. Its main defect is that it ignores ethics and value, puts undue emphasis on one-sex (male) management without the womanhood 's role and neglects the ultimate care for human beings.Our new era needs a new management concept, whose thought and practice can respect individual, gain popular support and fit the development of people and society in all round way. That is so-called "gentle management," which comes from but exceeds culture and ethics of enterprise.The structure of "gentle management", Comparing Chinese with western culture Chinese traditional culture, which emphasizes on ethics,entirety and womanhood, contains abundant resources of gentle management.Looking for ward to the future on basis of the reality, making full use of the modern value of the resources of gentle management in Chinese traditional philosophy, me confirm the fundamental of gentle management: a model of management with intention care and love as its core, with "preferring gentleness to power" and "vigilance in peace time" as its wisdom, with "Governing by doing nothing against nature" as its practice with education, decision - making, dealing with emergency and coordination as its function.In the end this paper will detail the development tendency of gentle management.
