On Large Multinational R & D Internationalization

Since 1980s with the rapid development of economic globalization, the international competition became hot day by day. Transnational corporations, especially the tycoons, changed the traditional strategies of taking the mother land as the technology and development center. According to the different comparative advantages in talents of host countries, the power of technology and the equipments of research, the corporations arranged organically the research places in a global demission to start the research and development of new technology and products, so as to make the research and exploitation develop in an international and global direction.At present the internationalization of transnational corporation's R&D becomes a trend, and there are many new symbols appearing in the process, which at the same time bring some new subjects for the theoretical research of relative field. The influence caused by internationalization of transnational corporation's R&D is deep and substantial. What it has brought is not only the accelerative extension for technology in a world wide, but also the promotion of company's organism structure, management method and management skill.As another objective of internationalization of transnational corporation's R&D-the host country-accepted influence from the tide of R&D internationalization from many aspects. There are positive effects as well as negative ones. Since for post countries the different power in economy and technology determines their different position in the process of R&D internationalization, the effects of R&D internationalization to different post countries are therefore different, too. This article falls into five parts.The first chapter is about definitions and motives. Firstly it gives the basic definition of huge transnational corporations and R&D internationalization, and secondly presents the theoretical and practical sense of this article.The second chapter is about the current situation of development in the internationalization of huge transnational corporation's R&D. It analyzes the whole characteristics of R&D internationalization for huge transnational corporations, on the base of which it makes some researches and presentations on the location arrangement and location choice of R&D internationalization for huge transnational corporations.The third chapter is about theoretical analysis of R&D internationalization for huge transnational corporations, by the inheriting and criticizing of traditional theories, it classifies the elements that determine the R&D internationalization into three parts-technological economy, internal elements of post countries and internal pushing elements, constructing the operating mechanism three elements affecting R&D internationalization for huge transnational corporations together.The forth part is about the R&D internationalization for huge transnational corporations and their growing up. It analyzes the effects on the promotion of organism structure reform and enhancement of its management level by R&D internationalization of huge transnational corporations.The fifth part is about the effect analysis on technology promotion in post countries for R&D internationalization of huge transnational corporations. There are positive effects and negative effects.
