Dalian Intelligent Management Of Urban Road Traffic

With the development of economy, the contradiction between traffic supply and demand in China has become more and more serious. The traffic problem has been a bottleneck to the economic development. ITS (Intelligent Traffic System) has been applied to traffic management as a technical development trend in the whole world.In recent years, although ITS application to traffic management in China has achieved a lot, problems in application and development in the field of road traffic management still exist, such as correct understanding of ITM (Intelligent Traffic Management), application , traffic engineering , information and the performance of road user, etc. This paper, from managerial point of view, analyzes the unbalance between contradiction of traffic supply and demand in China , compares the interior patterns with overseas in traffic management, obtains advance ideas and useful experience from overseas in the field of traffic management to stimulate and lead the development of traffic management in DaLian , which will do the best service for economic development. In research of' traffic management, combining the author' s work experience with the result of survey in relative fields in interior and overseas, the paper designs the structure of ITM for DaLian's future. Some steps on how to achieve this target are also given in the paper.
