| As the application of IT in enterprise management is becoming wider and wider, and enterprises and management theories are developing fast, the function of ERP(enterprise resource planning) need be enlarged continually. If parts of information system cannot communicate with each other, these parts become many "isolated information island", which decrease the efficiency of operation of enterprise greatly. The integration of system not only is difficult but also cannot achieve good result. It is very important that you should consider future integration result before integration. That's to say, ERP should be set with extensibility.The article classifies the behaviors of function augmenting of ERP into three types: function augmenting in code lever, function augmenting in component lever, function augmenting in module lever. Then, the article discusses the mechanism of extensibility of ERP and methods that can improve extensibility of ERP according to four types. The four types of extensibility are extensibility related with all levers, extensibility related with code lever, extensibility related with component lever and extensibility related with module lever. After that, the article analyzes a real procedure with high extensibility and the mechanism of extensibility of SAP R/3, you can acquire useful information from the analysis to build extensibility of ERP. |
