In the context of knowledge economy booming, team venturing has become an important model for wealth creation and value realization. Aiming at the entrepreneurial teams in high-tech small and medium sized start-ups, this thesis introduced a powerful tool-Team Climate Inventory to examine the entrepreneurial team climate as team process factor and its impact on entrepreneurial performance. Besides.it also discussed the requirements of keeping favorable team climate in perspective of team structure and organizational human resource strategy.The whole research process included two stages. The first stage covered interview and case study, through examining particularities of entrepreneurial team structure, differences between venture team and ordinary team, talents concept of start-ups and self-measuring operational performance. It mainly aimed at testing the original approach, while laying foundation for subsequent empirical study. In the second stage, 64 teams including 30 entrepreneurial teams and 33 ordinary teams were asked to fill in the five-point structured questionnaire.The results revealed that:1)high-tech start-ups' entrepreneurial team climate can be measured in three dimensions: innovation and interaction, task participation, and goal identity. The team climate has significant positive effects on entrepreneurial performance. 2)HR strategy.in particular the facilitation HR strategy.has overall positive effects on entrepreneurial team climate. 3) Entrepreneurial team structure can be measured in three dimensions: formal leadership, task role and goal shared clarity, relationship. It has significant positive effects on entrepreneurial team climate. 4)there was a significant difference in the team climate and team structure between different developmental stages of entrepreneurial teams, while there was no significant difference in the team climate and entrepreneurial performance across different sized entrepreneurial teams.5)entrepreneurial team development stage has significant interaction impact between facilitation of HR strategy and entrepreneurial team climate.6)there was a significant difference in the team climate and team structure between entrepreneurial team and ordinary teams, and the formerwas higher than the latter. Based on a brief summary, future research direction on entrepreneurial team was put forward.
