More and more evidences insist that more and more entrepreneurs are based on ETs(entrepreneurial teams) and the performance is better than individual entrepreneur. So it is implied to study ETs. Because entrepreneurial activities are irregular and uncertain, it makes ETs facing ongoing problem, and have to make decision frequently. So, it is implied to study the decision making of ETs. There are some existed fields related to decision making in ETs, e.g., ETs, individual entrepreneurial decision making, team decision making. In the study of the ETs, it is focus on the relationship of demography or behavior of team member and entrepreneurial performance. In the study of the individual entrepreneurial decision, it is focus on the relationship of personality or cognitive style and entrepreneurial decision. In the study of the team decision making, it is focus on the relationship of demography or behavior of team member and decision performance or organizational performance. There is not a total process study of the decision model and its mechanism of the decision performance in the ETs. Hollenbeck's multilevel theory of team decision making has used three process performance of team decision making to explore the mechanism of decision performance, but it is not study on the process model of the team decision. In this study, we use the multilevel theory, considering the stage character of the entrepreneur, following the stream of team member demography, team behavior, team decision model, decision performance, we have studied the process model and its mechanism of performance in ETs.In the first study, we use interview and case study to study the difference of the TMT and ET in decision making. We define the following characters of the ETs decision making. The personality of leader intensity affect the decision making in the ETs. The homogeneity of the affective and cognitive in the ET is positive related to the performance of team decision making and entrepreneur. In the entrepreneurial enterprise, there is little stability organization culture, moral, and rule, so ET has a great degree of presentation of the organization factory, and team behavior has a great degree of the determining of the model of the decision making. The decision model based on vision driving is a stand out character of the decision making in the ETs, and it lead to good performance of decision making and entrepreneurship. The decision model based on expertise consulting don't lead to good performance of decision making and entrepreneurship. The ETs go through preliminary to transition stages and experience the replacing of the member in a short time, so it made the decision making in the ET exhibit stage character. The decision tasks of the ETs always arecrisis to the survival of the enterprise and the ETs.In the second study, we study the decision model in the ETs based on the multilevel theory, exist literature and our questionnaire data. We defined the four decision models. They are decision model based on brainstorming, vision driving, affective supporting, and expertise consulting. We find that the decision models based on the brainstorming and vision driving have better entrepreneurial performance than the decision models based on affective supporting and expertise consulting. In the beginning stage, the decision model character is mainly based on expertise consulting, in the transition stage, the model character is mainly based on vision driving and affective supporting.In the third study, we research the decision model and its mechanism of performance in the ETs based on the multilevel theory, exist literature and our questionnaire data. We defined the four dimensions of the team behavior. They are TMX (team-member exchange), LMX (leader-member exchange), TLB (transformational leadership behavior), CLB (Charismatic leadership behavior).
