The contemporary capitalism has become the world's centre of attention for its several characters as follows:its rapid advance of science and technology, its essential leap of social productivity, its fundamental change of social structure in a deep level. In relation to this, some new phenomena and new transformation in economic, political and social areas have appeared in the world of capitalism, especially in those developed countries inevitably. The studying of which will have vital significance for understanding the intrinsic quality and developing trend of capitalism as well as promoting the socialistic construction of our nation. Combining with the modern research about contemporary capitalism ,the change of relationship between the contempory captitalistic government and market that is the change of the economic role of contemporary captitalistic government, has been analysized from the angle of main trend capitalist economy in this paper, on the basis of which the developing character and historic law of capitalism has been enclosed . furthermore , The relation between market and government in the primary stage of socialism and the economic function of socialistic nation have been considered. The study of governmental economic function of contemporary capitalist countries has been divided into three sections concretly and expressed as follows. Firstly, this paper inspects the historic development of the governmental economic function of contemporary capitalistic countries on the clue of discussion on governmental economic function of western economical schools in different stages. Secondly, this paper studies governmental economic function of contemporary capitalist countries. This part inspects government's economic function of contemporary capitalist country from the angle of theory and reality and then predicts the developmental trend of government's economic function of contemporary capitalist country, Thirdly, This paper evaluats the transformation of government economic function of contemporary capitalist country and then form two aspects analyzes the government's economic function of contemporary capitalist countries with five angles.Under the new conditions of globalization and relation between socialism and capitalism, there is more important meaning in realizing the capitalism. Understanding the capitalism should be stick to Marxism and truth from facts, Meanwhile, other foreign thought includeing the theories of main capitalist economy should be used, In the past, our attitude toward views of capitalism, such as economy ,is negative. Such attitude neither conforms to Maxism, nor facilitates to realize capitalism. Absorbing theories of main capitalist economy with a animadvert attitude values to understand capitalism well. This attitude avails to recognize developmental law of capitalism and normal society and benefits to understand the relation between socialism and capitalism rightly, which is good for developing socialism well. The innovation of this paper lies in the relation between market and government in the course of capitalist development is researched from a new angle of western economics which is an important relation in the all associations of capitalist economy. Especially, this passage analyzes economic role government should plays in the development ,in terms of which this article opens out the characteristic and historic law of capitalist development. And on the basis of it , the government role of socialist country and the relation between market and government which are existing in the primary stage of socialism are reasoned.
