Since China began her policy of economic reform and opening to the world, the discussion on 'isomorphism of regional industry' and 'construction of redundant projects' in all circles has been always there. The attitudes towards advantages or disadvantages of them are different, but what is sure is that by the end of the last century, we have gone through 'construction of redundant projects' all around the country at least two times which happened on 1980's and 1990's. Now, lots of scholars begin to worry about the third time of construction of redundant projects in our country, because immoderate investments and low level 'construction of redundant projects' have happened in some industries since the second half of 2003.How can we see the problem of ' construction of redundant projects' impersonally? What is the relationship between the 'construction of redundant projects' and ' isomorphism of regional industry'? What is the evolvement trend of isomorphism of regional industry' with our going deep into the marketing economy since 1980's? What is the relationship between the trend and the marketing economy? This thesis begins to analyze these questions, and the analysis is made up of five parts. They are as follows:Chapter 1: We expatiate on the meaning and the measurement of'industrial isomorphism', and give demonstrative analysis on the evolvement trend of it in our country. The result shows it is a 'strengthening first, then weakening' inverted-U trend during the reform period, and the year 1992 is the turning point.Chapter 2: We begin with explaining the concept of marketing, compare the measurements, and estimate the course of marketing in our country. The result shows the marketing degree of our economic system has been increasing since 1992.Chapter 3: We analyze the evolvement trend of' isomorphism of industry' in our country by stage. The result shows: (1) Before the establishment of the goal of socialist marketable economic system, there are 'game theory' relationships between the central government and local government or between local governments during the adjustment of industrial structure in regions, because of the existence of regional advantages and the power enlargement of local government. If the central government can not bring forward specific corresponding policy on industry, the tendency of industrial isomorphism' will emerge obviously. (2) After the establishment of the goal of socialist marketable economic system, market mechanism has began to play leading or important role in lots of economic fields, meanwhile the prices of most commodities become unloosed and modern enterprise system gets established. The reform of marketing not only brings energy into our economy, ameliorates allocation status of production-element and improves economic efficiency, but also changes the phenomenon of isomorphism of regional industry' to some extent.Chapter 4: We offer a case study. In this case, we analyze fully and accurately the evolvement trend of ' industrial isomorphism' and the effect of all marketing factor on Yangtse Rive Delta Region since 1992. and the method that we use is named Panel Data Model. The result shows all marketing factor except the growth of commodity market can impel the weaken trend of industrial isomorphism', and the non-state economy in ownership structure plays the most important role. At last, we should point out that the method we use in the chapter is fit for the analysis of the whole country.Chapter 5: We give a few policy advices, by which we hope to ensure the coordinated development of regional industrial structure.
