Research On Industrial Structure Supererogation

Economic structure adjustment is the important precondition to realize the transform from the extensive mode of economic growth, featuring high input, high consumption, high emission and low efficiency, to the intensive mode of economic growth, featuring technology progress and high efficiency. Industrial structure supererogation is one of main goals of economic structure adjustment. The thesis firstly discusses the meaning of Industrial structure supererogation, the appearance, development mode and achieve mechanism of Industrial structure supererogation, and factors which affects Industrial structure supererogation. Then analyses the relation between industrial structure and economic growth, leading the effects of Industrial structure supererogation. In order to research a economic system in the view of it's own improvement, the thesis offers a new method of measuring and differentiating Industrial structure supererogation. In empirical research, we set up a panel data that includes 29 provinces (or cities), then analyze the effects of Industrial structure supererogation and the factors which influent industrial structure upgrading, through time series and cross section model. The conclusion is, that in the long ran, there exist effects of Industrial structure supererogation in Chinese economic growth, but from 90's last century, the process of Industrial structure supererogation is not do well with economic growth. According to theoretical and empirical analysis, we finally point out the problems existing in industrial structure at present, and give policy advice correspondingly.
