The Western Development Strategy Study

Chinese economy is confronted with the problems, which includes competition of economy globalization and discordance of macro economic development concerning regional development gap. National leaders and economists are concerned about the problems as well as the people of the all kinds of fields home and abroad.The development of the western region is to contain and narrow the development gap among all regions gradually and realize coordinating development of regional economy and purpose of social equality. Meantime, it is the internal need concerning lasting development of national economy and maintains the powerful demand of economic increase.The key to carry out the strategies of western development is to promote the accelerated development regarding the modernization building of western region. However, it is vital to adopt the developing road and choose the developing model in terms of carrying out the strategies of western development. Original thought, method and system must be adopted instead of used approaches in order to carry out western development. Carrying out western development are supposed to be considered as complex systematical project and all factors must be taken into considerations so that it can be pushed further step by step. Therefore,the developing model that is coordinated economy, society and natural ecological environment is selected so as to carry out the western development, and it is mere ways for the western region to get rid of poverty, population, resources and environmental difficulties. As long as the feasible strategies of western development are adopted, the aim of lasting development will be achieved.As far as the structure is concerned, the thesis is divided into three chapters, including 12 sections.Chapter one describes the historical background of the western development, the gap between the achievement of western development in recent years and eastern region and its strategically significance.Chapter two describes the advantages and disadvantages of western development.Chapter three discusses many strategies and its analysis of western development. Creative and original strategies that are made are critical to develop the western region. These strategies include seeking complete development, exchanging the money with the recourses, carrying out favorable policies of tax, perfection and establishment of ecological environment, developing western region in technology, extending the opening up to the outside world, cooperating between the eastern and western region to develop completely, developing urban economy, accelerating private enterprise development etc.Conclusion lies in the end of the paper, which summarizes the necessity, disadvantages and strategies of western development.In view of each chapter, there are great gap between the economic strength of twelve provinces and coastal provinces and cities, and the gap are bound to limit the national complete development. The limit will drag the complete increase of economy and impair the social balance and security. Confronted with the gap between the eastern and western economy, western provinces are supposed to make clear their strategic orientations, make effort to narrow the gap and adopt feasible and effective steps to realize pursuing and transcending development. Quickening western development of economical society can promote the political and social stability and security of national defense in the western region.
