The quality of life is a focal problem influencing the development of economy andsociety. J.K.Galbrainth made the earliest research in American, who wanted to solve theproblem between the development of economy and the devoid mind. In 1980's, theChinese researchers began to study the quality of life, aiming to provide a series oftheory about the quality of life for the policy-makers. The author analyzes the objectiveand subjective factors affecting the quality of life.The objective factors include social factors, economic factors, people factors andenvironmental factors. The author chooses the concerned indexes to reflect the factorsand carries on the quantitative study by principal component analysis. Because theobjective quality of life changes drastically in China, the author selects the sensitiveanalysis to reflect the time trend.The subjective factors include objective conditions and cognitive abilities. Since thesubjective quality of life changes slowly, the author statically analyzes how the factorsaffect it by precedence correlation analysis.Ultimately, the author finds that the factors, such as social factors, people factors,education and employment, which affect the quality of life remarkably and then putforward some suggestions according to the main factors.
