Analysis On Influencing Factors Of Life Satisfaction Degree Of The Senior Citizen In China

With the acceleration of the population aging process in our country, the development of various fields of society has been adversely affected, especially in the economic field.The senior-citizen are a special group in the society. The life satisfaction degree of the elderly has a great impact on the social harmony and stability. According to psychology, sociology, economics and other related theory and China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) 2014 adult database data, this paper establishes five important factors which affecting the life satisfaction degree of the old, they are health level, mental state,economic situation, interpersonal relationships, environmental factors. In addition, this paper makes statistical analysis of life satisfaction degree of the elderly from the perspectives of urban and rural areas, age, gender, region, marital state and have or not have children. in order to understands whether there is a significant difference in the life satisfaction of the elderly in terms of the urban and rural areas, different age, different gender, different regions, different marital state and have or not have children. Then, This paper constructs the Structural Equation Model of the life satisfaction degree of the senior-citizen, and estimates, evaluates and revises the model. Finally,according to the results of the modified model, we analyzes the affecting factors of the life satisfaction degree of the elderly. After this paper analyzes the influencing factors of life satisfaction degree of the elderly in China, then, and analyzes the influencing factors of the life satisfaction degree of the elderly in urban and rural areas .The goal is to better identify the main factors which affecting the life satisfaction degree of the urban and rural elderly and the relative importance of each influencing factor, and then puts forward suggestions to improve the quality of life of rural and urban elderly.The study shows that most of the elderly in our country are satisfied with their lives.For the life satisfaction degree of the elderly ,There is no significant difference in gender.However, There are significant differences in urban and rural areas, age, region, marriage,and have or not have children. For the elderly, Economic conditions, interpersonal relationships, mental state, environmental factors, health level has a positive impact, The health level of direct influence to the old man'life satisfaction degree is not significant,more is to indirectly affect the life satisfaction degree of the elderly through the influence of mental state. Generally speaking, the economic situation and interpersonal relationships are the most important factors which affecting the life satisfaction degree of the elderly, and the influence of the mental state is much higher than that of the environmental factors and health level.The study also shows that, regardless of in the urban or rural areas, The influences of economic situation and interpersonal relationships on the life satisfaction degree of the elderly are the largest. However, The influences of the economic situation and interpersonal relationships on the life satisfaction of the elderly in rural areas is much higher than that in urban areas. The influence of mental state on the life satisfaction degree of urban and rural elderly is different, and the influence of mental state on the life satisfaction degree of urban elderly is higher than that in rural areas. Compared with the urban elderly, Health level is more important for the rural old' life satisfaction degree, In affecting factors of life satisfaction degree of the old, There are no significant differences of environmental factors between the life satisfaction degree of the urban elderly and rural elderly.This paper puts forward some policies and suggestions to improve the life satisfaction of the elderly from three levels of government and society, family and individual.
