Xi'an Tourist City Competitiveness Research

Last century, the research about "city managing" have been paid more attention by academe, the correlative theory provided the good environment for me to study tourism city and city competition. Moreover in the recent ten years, the research made by the scholars about tourism city appeared on academic periodical, media and internet. They studied the operating machanism, management mode from the angle of economy, management and sociology . But the research about competition of tourism city only in its start step and need developing. In order to enrich this field , I consulted many data in abroad and domestic, used the basic theory of economy and management, then made the study to lift the city competition of Xi'an.This paper summarized the basic theory about competition and tourism city developing. On the basis of them, I brought about the concept of competition of tourism city and the index on how to weigh it, and performed mathematical calculation , and studied the status quo of tourism city in China, then used SWOT to analyze the competition of Xi'an city. In the end , I put forward the germ of why xi'an has low competition and the roads how to lift the competition of Xi'an.
