Xi'an International Tourism Industry Structural Analysis And Optimization Studies

As an important way of promoting the development of tour industry, the optimization of tour industrial structure is not only seek the dynamic equilibrium and harmony of tourism industry, but to upgrade the tourism industrial structure by improving the ability of structure converging and transformation so as to promote the efficiency and sustainable development of regional tourism industry.Directed by the theories of industry economy and optimizing theory of regional industrial structure, stressing on the inner structure, structure effectiveness, structure relevance, the thesis studies the evolving trend of international tour industry in Xi'an and analyses the present situation .Comparing the tour industrial structure of Xi'an to the country and Beijing from 1993 to 2002, the thesis discusses the evolutive law of international tour industry structure in Xi'an. We find that the growth rate is decreasing and the industrial structure is not in proportion. Though it is developing to the direction of rationalization, its optimization level is left behind by the national, the similarity coefficient of its structure is decreasing and the stability of its structure is low because of being affected by the supply of resources and the functional orientation of tourism industry.When analyzing the structural benefit, the thesis applies shift-share method (SSM) to the analysis of the international tour industry structural benefit in Xi'an, and then we find that the holistic structure has poor advantages that does little good to the economic growth and must be adjusted. The tourism products department will be the developing direction of Xi'an's international tour industry for its good growth rate* degree of structural contribution and competition. The basic departments are falling off and there is something wrong with them. For example, departments of traffic and tour develop slowly and have not advantages now. The recreational department is now in the worst condition, whose departmental optimization will be the key tache to improve the industrial structural status in quo.Correlation is one of the characteristics of tour industrial structure, whichdetermines the aggregation of the inner structure of tour industry and influences the exertion of the whole benefit of tour industrial structure. This thesis analyzes the correlation of the inner factors of international tour industrial structure in Xi'an with Grey Relative Degree Analysis Method, then we find that the relevance of all sections is weak and the departments have great differences; the whole industry relies too much on a few departments such as accommodations and traffic, which weakens the industry structure.Basing on the above analysis, keeping to the basic principles and patterns of how to optimize industry structure, the thesis designs a goal system of optimization and brings forward a series of proposal: Try to build a Project of Better Quality and broaden the pedigree of tourism products; Improve the traffic establishments and break through the restricting factors; Enforce the spread effect of dominate department, achieve a balance of supply and demand; Improve the inner structures of all factors and its structural benefit. Introduce a scientific and technological management system; accelerate the transformation of developing strategic pattern of tourism industry.At present, the studies of Xi'an international tour industry lay particular stress on spatial structure and the markets of customers etc; there is few study pay attention to the optimization of tour industrial structure. The thesis studies the optimization of tour industrial structure with some methods on quantity and quality, brings forward some warranty for department of decision-making. To some extent, the thesis is of great importance for practices.
