The International Competitiveness Of Agriculture Research

With the economy globalization and China entering World Trade Organization (WTO), the international competitiveness of agriculture in China, especially some important industrial competitiveness, is attracting more and more attention among people, of which agriculture is an important industry. According to the "diamond nation" model and in combination with the features of agriculture reproduction itself, and on the basis of finding out the framework to analyze the international competitiveness of agriculture, this thesis makes an empirical analysis to the present situation of our country's agricultural products' international competitiveness and points out that the essence of our country's agricultural products' lacking of international competitiveness is that the international competitiveness of our agriculture is not strong. There are many factors that lead to this situation, but of which the most important one is that the key elements of the advanced elements of agriculture are few; the socialized service system of agriculture is not perfect; peasants' organization degree is low; to enter WTO brings opportunity and challenge to agriculture ; and the governments' support for agriculture is not enough. In order to change the existing situation of the international competitiveness of agriculture and to suit the needs of agricultural internationalization, we should carry forward the strategic adjustment of the agricultural structures, increase the agricultural development standard, continuously quicken the progress of the agricultural science and technology, improve the science and technological content, make full use of WTO agricultural rules, strengthen the force of our country's support for agriculture, actively push on the circulation system reform of the agricultural products, and solve the two-way structure problems of the cities and the countryside.
