China's Agricultural Product International Competitiveness Study

This thesis divides into four chapters altogether, aim at studying the international competitiveness of the agricultural product of our country in 2000( including planting products, livestock products, fishery products and goods).Through the reform and opening up to the outside world of more than 20 years, the agriculture of our country have scored very big achievements. The output of the agricultural product increases by a wide margin, the scientific and technological level improves day by day, and the structure of export is becoming more perfect. However, our agriculture still faces many questions. It is not as enough as dynamics of structural adjustment of agricultural product, the processing level is on the low side, and agricultural product encounters TBT usually when exported, etc. The international competitiveness is a concept that quite receives the dispute, can divide into the country, industry, enterprise and products international competitiveness. Among them, there are 4 main decisive factors in the international competitiveness of industry, and last 4 different developing stages. We can use the model of fuzzy mathematics to appraise the international competitiveness of the agricultural product, there are 3 main steps. At first, resolving international competitiveness into 4 leading indexes that are innovative ability, production capacity, earning capacity and selling ability; Then constructing 10 classifying indexes of 4 leading indexers; Finally, with the fuzzy calculation, we may get the international competitiveness of our agricultural product and other classifying product. According to the conclusion of above evaluation, it shows that the international competitiveness of our whole agricultural products presents the medium level. At present, the agricultural product of our country often encounters TBT on above 4 leading indexes. In order to break this barrier, we must make great efforts to improve the international competitiveness of our agricultural product. Through the comparative analysis, the international competitiveness of agricultural products in America is stronger than that in China. However, India is in the same level with our country. The reasons are many faceted. The main ways to improve the international competitiveness of the agricultural product of our country are: accelerating the agricultural structural readjustment to the economy, implementing industrialization of agricultural managing, improving the input of agricultural scientific research, setting up and perfecting the standard system of agriculture and the monitoring system of agriculture, developing the green agricultural product, developing the peasant special cooperative organization of economic relations and agricultural industrial cooperate, accelerating the construction of agricultural information, participating in the negotiation and design of the international trade rule actively.
