The human society in the 21st century has already entered an era led by knowledge. Knowledge is gradually replacing traditional factors of production, namely capital, labor and land, as the chief resource for enterprise development. In this era, knowledge changes with each passing day. With the increasingly furious market competition, most organizations recognize that it is essential to make effective use of existing knowledge and get much more new knowledge in order to win and maintain competition advantage. Knowledge spreads around different people and team in an organization. To make full use of the knowledge, it must be transferred. Knowledge transfer has become an efficient path for organization learning.On the view of individual level, the main purpose of this article is discussing the main affecting factors and performance indexes of individual level knowledge transfer, and studying the relation between the affecting factors and indexes. This article starts with review of abundant literature and summarizes the concept and classification of knowledge, the research achievement of affecting factors, transfer models and performance indexes of knowledge transfer, and then points out the deficiency of previous researches according to the status quo of knowledge transfer researches. On the basis of academic analyze, this article gives the twelve-factor research model and hypotheses, makes investigation with questionnaire all over the country and analyze the investigation results with SPSS.According to the result of investigation and data analysis, several important research results are drawn and the model and hypotheses are adjusted. The results are: the relationship between the embeddedness of knowledge and transfer performance is positive; while the relationship between the knowledge distance of the two parties and transfer performance is negative; there is no marked affecting relation between the protection awareness of the source and transfer performance; and there are no notable differences in transfer performance between individuals with different duty or different education background.Besides, in accordance with the research results and the concrete circumstance of China, the article provides advices for improving individual transfer performance and expects the future research.
