This paper consists four parts as follows: brief introduction to small and medium-sized enterprises (hereinafter referred to as "SMEs") in China; business environment analysis on SMEs; SMEs' strategic choices and implementation; case study to two successful enterprises and inspirations.Chapter one is a summary of the SMEs in China, instructing the definition, features of SMEs and their roles in the economic development in China.Chapter two makes in-depth analysis to the business environment, including the problems and challenges which SMEs are facing and Value Chain analysis.Chapter three is the core of this paper which states the SMEs' strategic choices and implementation. Strategic choices include low-cost provider strategy, broad differentiation strategy and focused strategy while strategic implementation focuses on institutional construction and executive ability.Chapter four is the case study of two successful enterprises through three aspects including business strategy making and executing, managing the internal organization to promote better strategy executing and improving executive ability which are crucial to the SMEs' development. The last part of this chapter are the inspirations induced from the case study, which are valuable to the SMEs' development.
