The dual economic structure and its conversion is one of the key contents of the contemporary development economics, and have been paid close attention to by domestic and foreign scholars for a long time. China has a typical dual economic structure, and is now undergoing the conversion of the dual economic structure. Based on such judgment and understanding, the dissertation mainly deals with the research on the dual economic structure and its conversion.The dissertation discusses the problem on the conversion of industrialization and what emphasizes in the dissertation is industrialization .Industrialization is the major cause of the formation of the dual economic structure .On the basis of analyzing the general theories of the dual economic structure ,the dissertation has an demonstration analysis on the dual economic structure in China ,and put the practise of the conversion of the dual economic structure into a macroscopic background which was characteristic of the main trend of the economy ,and the investigation an traditional industrialization Then set forth the viewpoints: to go the way of new -type industrialization is the realistic choice to converse the dual economic structure in China ay present time.The dissertation consists of three parts .The first part has a discussion on the theory of dual economic structure and the demonstrational analysis on it. Firstly, it described the definition, general reasons for formation, and the trend and conversional way of the dual economic structure by explaining the theory of dual economic structure, Secondly, it defined the distinctive features and main reasons for the formation of the dual economic structure through the demonstrational analysis of the dual economic structure. Meanwhile, it analyzed the impacts on socio-economic development of the dual economic structure and the key problems to be solved in the process of the dual economic structure conversion.The second part demonstrations new-type industrialization is not only the realistic choice for solving the endogenous contradiction and question of the industrialization which is complied with the worldwide information-based tread, but also for realizing the conversion of the dual economic structure.The third part of the dissertation analyses some countermeasures which would converse the dual economic structure by the way of new-type industrialization .The countermeasures would be: to promote rural economy by means of new-type industrialization; go on walking forward on the way of new-type urbanization, to optimize the industrial structure and create more employment posts in the process of new-type industrialization.
