The theory of global governance is a new theory system which is advanced by the Western scholars in order to solve the global problems. At the present time, more and more NGOS contribute to the global governance and their influences to the global governance become more extensive. The roles of NGOs in the global governance is positive. Using theory and demonstration methods, the thesis mainly argues the roles of NGOs in the global governance and their development trend after expatiates the theory of global governance.The motives of choosing the topic and the current research situation about it are introduced in the foreword. This thesis covers three chapters. Chapter One introduces the theory of the global governance in order to make clear the meaning of this theory, the background of its development, the main contents and its main conductors. Chapter Two explains why the global governance is in need of non-governmental organizations. The reasons why the global governance needs non-governmental organizations are that there exists insufficiency in the governing procession of both governmental governance and international organizations governance. The last chapter of the thesis focuses on the role of non-governmental organization in the global governance. The four parts of which respectively elaborate the role of NGOs, that is, to offer consultations to the governments and the international organizations; to put influences on the governmental or the international organizations' decisions; to influence public opinions and supervise the behaviors of the governments and the international organizations, and to cooperate with governments and the international organizations in item implementations. In the concluding remarks, the roles and influences of NGOs in the global governance are evaluated. It points out that NGOs have become too powerful and influential to be ignored. This dissertation suggests that we shouldpay more attention to this issue.
