Project feasibility study is a scientific approach to technical and economic research toward a project in the primary stage of investment. Development of decades has made feasibility study increasingly mature. As a result, feasibility study has been playing a significant role in guaranteeing optimal economic and social benefit of a project and has therefore found wide application in global economic life. As a graduation thesis, the paper endeavors to present organic combination of feasibility theory and practice. Theory provides guidance for practice and is instrumental in practice. The first part of the paper therefore, gives a basic framework of feasibility theory, and presents in a detailed way important segments of feasibility theory, which are economic evaluation theory, risk evaluation theory, and social evaluation theory. Based on the theoretical framework presented in the first part, the second part of the paper is engaged in a feasibility study of a yak breed project by GY company, from the perspective of the requirements on feasibility research, and in the light of the present state finance and tax systems, economic evaluation approach and parameters for a undergoing project. The project is approached in this part from various angles of project background, market prospects, technical conditions, financial benefits, and social evaluation, and indeterminacies. The findings: 1. In the section of project background, the conclusion is that the project goes in line with the state industry policy, and will draw support from different levels of government. 2.In the section of products prospects for the project, the conclusion is that with the increasing demand and with the corresponding price rise for beef, the future of the project is ok. 3.In the analysis of technical conditions, the conclusion is that the selected site of the project is suitable for yak growth, and infrastructures needed are available. 4. In the section of finance evaluation, the analysis is made of discount indices and non-discount indices, and solvency of the project. The conclusion is that the project can stand well under careful examination based on finance benefit. 5. In the section of social evaluation, detailed qualitative and quantitative study is made of the social value of the project, which leads to the conclusion of the considerable social benefit of the project. 6. In the analysis of indeterminacies concerned in the project, qualitative and quantitative study is made of the project, and measures are proposed to guard against and control possible risks and contingencies. Overall, the basic conclusion is that the yak project is feasible. And in the paper suggestions have been made for GY's reference. On the basis of detailed study concerned with the project, the paper proceeds from the real life situation, and made in-depth adaptation research of the project with government industry policies, to best guarantee the success of its success. With large amounts of computation, too, the paper offers detailed analysis of the indeterminacies involved in the project with the help of vast amount of figures. Admittedly economic projects do not put first social benefit analysis, but on that the paper places great importance. The departure starts both from the project itself and from the responsibilities businesses are supposed to shoulder.
