Based On An Open Economy In Northern Jiangsu Economic Revitalization

Taking a wide view through the development of Jiangsu province since the foundation of China, we know that the economy among the north, central and south is unbalanced. Especially the North Jiangsu is far behind the others. Since the reform and opening up, the gap has been becoming wider and wider. Based on the theory of backwardness advantage, new economic growth, new institutional economics, international economics and on the differences among districts of Jiangsu, together with mathematical statistics and gray theory, the paper studies the technique level and the institutional arrangements and their influences upon the economies, analyzes the influence of open-economy upon technique level and the institutional arrangements. At last it draws the conclusion that under the background of the economic globalization, it is necessary for North Jiangsu to develop open-economy actively and progressively, to open up to the international and domestic market in order to avoid lagging behind. Lastly, the paper puts forward that Jiangsu should propel its open-economy as follows: changing our ideas, optimizing the comprehensive environment, exerting the resources advantage, developing open-economy step by step, encouraging private enterprises to go global and participate in the international competition at the time of adjusting the foreign capital structure and changing growth method of the international trade.
