Post-war Hegemonic System And International Organizations

The international organization is the result of the world's development in politicsand economy, for in the 20th century, with the outburst of two world wars, and theappearance of a series of human common issues, such as explosion of the population,deterioration of the environment, change of the climate, shortage of the energy , theinternational organization has developed surprisingly in quantities, scope of activitiesand influences on international affair.This thesis regards international regimes theory as the theoretical foundation toanalyze the function and utility of the international organization. According to Ruggie,the international organization is a kind of concrete and tangible international regimes,so the analysis on how international regimes works and how greatly it does, is suitablefor the efficiency analysis of the international organization. Though different schoolsof international politics have various opinions on the international regimes, all ofthem acknowledge that the international regimes can promote the obtaining ofnational absolute income and drive multilateral co-operation basically. In the thesis,four kinds of functions of the international regimes are mentioned, and the effect ofthe international organization caused by the externalization of the functions is alsoanalyzed. Thereafter, the thesis analyzes the validity of the international organization,that's, to what extent the international organization can affect and be utilized andwhether its aim can be realized. Considering the globalization and the theme of thecurrent world: peace and development, the thesis makes the analysis from the externalsituation of the international organization, for the external situation the internationalorganization exists has comparatively been improved to some extent; in terms ofdemand, a large number of global questions require finding a kind of new powersystem and mechanism on the basis of the whole international community whichregards the common interest of mankind as the value orientation. Therefore theinternational organization is this kind of representative of power forms.The dissertation of the function and utility of the international organization lays afoundation for demonstrating the seeking and maintaining the hegemony of the U.S.A.
