The Industrial Structure Of Southwestern Yunnan Region And Surrounding Areas In The Gms Framework Comparative Study

The implementation of developing western region of China is important for our country's modernization. Aggressive pushing western region economic technique cooperation in that district is an important policy measure of economic development. In the 20th century, with the economic globalization in the world and localization, the Langcang-Mekong river Subregion cooperation, embodies the fine development foreground and becomes a hot investment spot. Yunnan is a province of the southwest of China. The Burma, Laos, Vietnam Cambodia, and Thailand are close to it. It has 4060 kilometers frontier lines .There are 20 national classes and the province class seaport and numerous departure passages. The geography advantage is obvious. Yunnan especially its southwest is the upper strearn of the Mekong River. GMS(Great Mekong Subregion) includes Yunnan and Burma, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam etc. Greater Mekong littoral including 5 countries and Yunnan of China is the most economic growth subregion. Developing the district of GMS, linking all countries of ASEAN and building up the ASEAN free trade area, will become the third big free trade area that next to EU and the free trade area of North America in the world. Yunnan participates the cooperation in the district of GMS which not only can further extend to open, but also be good to take off the poverty. Yunnan province has actively participated the GMS cooperation and has already made great progress in the transportation, communication, energy, tour, environment, human resource development, trade and invest, forbid poison and so on.The Langcang river which in Yunnan province mainly flows through Zhongdian , Lijiang ,Baoshan, Honghe, Lincang and many other areas. The paper mainly chooses the comparative object samples which are: Lijiang ,Honghe, Dehong, Wenshan and Guangxi. The purpose of the thesis is to lie in the natural resources, mineral resources, the tour resources...etc. and draw lessons from the above-mentioned regions. On one hand depend on the condition that periphery and other regions inside the provinces that have no such advantages and do a basic define to the way and paths that the region's industrial structure adjust.
