Raising the productivity is one of the key elements about the economic development. The study about the productivity of the service trades is the forward position in the field of technology economics.In our country, the development of the service trades has increased fast in the past several years, but the level is lower than the other countries. Raising the service productivity is the urgent mission of the national economy of China increasingly. Most of the domestic service enterprises are in small scale and belong to labor-intensive enterprises. It' s not enough to use the past method that used to raise the productivity, which established on the basis of the manufacturing. It' s time to discover the correct way to raise the service productivity.This paper describes the service productivity in detail, comparing the service productivity with the productivity in common traditional manufacturing. As we know, in the service trades, it' s difficult to use the conception about the productivity due to the character and the property of the productivity/The quality of the service products cannot refer to the conservation of mass.The service productivity is the function, including external efficiency, intestine efficiency and capacity efficiency. In these three elements, external efficiency is the most important. We should meet with the external efficiency firstly, and then turn to the other ones to raise the service productivity.The measures to raise the intestine efficiency should assure the service quality. Intestine cost is made up with the valid cost, invalid cost and forced cost. In the process of raising the productivity, the enterprise should recognize the invalid cost andtake action to remove or to decrease the invalid cost. The valid cost is propitious to raise the productivity. The enterprise should pay these charges even if the cost is expensive. The forced cost is the charge can' t be evitable.The capacity efficiency is to adjust the balance of supply and demand. When the supply and demand is balanced, the capacity efficiency is efficient.This paper gives the model of the service productivity, analyzing the elements that work on the service productivity. In the meantime, the paper gives the advices about how to raise the service productivity, integrating the national food and drink industry.
