E-commerce in China is in the period of rapid development, and its turnover has been increasing rapidly year by year. Meanwhile the laws of traditional market have also received great challenges. Experiencing the scientific development of network, consumers are confronted with many new problems, such as disclosing privacy and potential safety hazard. So the key point of e-commerce development is how to protect consumer's rights.Starting from the relationship between e-commerce and online business, this article analyzes the problem of the protection of consumer's rights resulted from this new way of business. Based on the foreign practices of protecting consumer's rights, it overviews our present law system and put forward policy in terms of legislation and administrative protection.The article includes four chapters:Chapter one: online business and protection of consumer. This chapter analyzes the relationship between online business and e-commerce, the definition and characteristics of e-contract and the present situation of protection of consumer.Chapter two: analysis of problems in terms of consumer's protection in our country. This chapter makes an analysis of some outstanding problems, such as network service, protection of privacy and clauses of online patterns and put forward the difficulties in solving these problems.Chapter three: foreign practices of protection of consumer's rights. By comparing laws of international organizations and laws of individual country, some lessons can be learned in how to protect consumer's rights.Chapter four: our countermeasures on protecting consumer's online rights. Considering the present situation of legislation in our country, I put forward some suggestions on legislative protection and administrative protection.
