Sichuan And Chongqing Government Cooperation Mechanism

Integrative regional economy is a important trend of world economy development nowadays. Under this background, how to reinforce the economy cooperation between each administration areas to achieve the integrative regional economy is also a crucial problem that both Sichuan and Chongqing governments have to face now. After Chongqing became an independent Municipality, the driving force and ability have been boosting in Sichuan province and Chongqing city, which largely improves both sides'development. But at the same time, they both have strong self-awareness, which severely blocks their long-term development.To this question, this article will discuss how to establish an effective cooperative mechanism between Sichuan and Chongqing governments, in order to realize the interactive and benign development, and finally to improve the formation of the integrative regional economy of these two areas. To be specific, this article will discuss the establishment of the cooperative mechanism from the following three aspects:First, draws on the related theories of local governments cooperation and propose the idea of the cooperation of Sichuan and Chongqing governments from the perspective of regional administration, combing the experiences of developed countries and the cases of the Changjiang River Area;Second, systematically analyzes the current conditions and developing potentials of the two governments'cooperation from the objective bases, driving forces, and cooperation desires;Third, propose a tentative plan of the cooperative mechanism establishment of Sichuan and Chongqing governments from the aspects of phase procedures, forms, and relevant regulations.
