Eu Enlargement Strategy

The EU's eastward enlargement is the largest in the history of EU enlargement, which is known as the "big bang" expansion. The strategy of the EU's eastward enlargement is the result of comprehensive consideration of various factors. The ultimate goal is to achieve the homogeneous development in the economic system, political and cultural awareness of the public of CEE countries and the existing EU members. So we can say that, the eastward expansion does not imply the end of the full realization of the strategy of eastward expansion.This thesis analyses the issue of eastern enlargement in the view of strategy, including strategy's proposition, implementation and new challenges after the eastern enlargement. The proposition of this important strategy is based on the theory of geopolitics. The article uses the analysis and synthesis methods and separately discusses the process of implementation in two parts in order to exhibit the process clearly. The article also uses a lot of statistic data and many important history facts and actualities to analyse the new challenges inside and outside after the eastern enlargement.The finish of the process of eastward enlargement is a great step for the implementation of the eastward expansion strategy. It is a landmark in the history of the European integration procession, and it will make the European integration enter a critical period from quantitative to qualitative.
