On the one hand it is the aspecttoward North Korea and its objective is to control and limit North Korea and resolvethe North Korea problem and eliminate its threat and on the other hand, it is the aspectof the powers surrounding the Korean Peninsula and the objective is regulate and limitthe related powers and eliminate their attempt to have regional leading position. In the Korean Peninsula policy of the U.S.A., the aspect towards North Korea isthe most straightforward and realistic objective and the most outward and obviousexpression of its policy system. And the aspect towards the related powers is its majorand core objective and its most internal and recessive expression of its whole policy. After the cold war the U.S.A. has carried out the two tactics of "cooperation" and"utilization" in terms of the power policies around the Korean Peninsular and its realintention is to guarantee the absolute position in the affairs of the Korean Peninsularand further set up the East Asian order with its leadership and utmost reflecting itshegemonic interests. The maintenance and development of the US and South Korean alliance is thebasic and indispensable component in the US Korean Peninsular policy planning afterthe cold war. It is the fundamental guarantee in the realization the whole planning ofthe US Korean Peninsular strategy after the cold war and also the importantinstrument for realization of its security strategy of the North Asia. The US policy on the Korean Peninsula after the cold belongs to the category ofthe cold war thinking in its character, and as a whole, it gives the negative influence tothe peace and reunification process and the international security strategy of theNorth-East Asia.Facing to the US Korean Peninsula policy after the cold war, China must clarifythe long-term interests and realistic interests on the peninsular and continue andmaintain and develop the relations With the countries on the peninsular and furtherexpand its influence on the peninsular.
