China's National Identity Of The Diplomacy Of China's Peaceful Development

After the cold war, the international relations had profound changes, the identity and the role between nations undergoes re-colliding and re-localization. The international new order is not merely the arrangement and combination among the great powers, but also is the deconstruction and the reconstruction of the idea structure in the international society. As a great nation which has glorious civilization, China greatly suffered the humiliation from big powers in modern times, but now China is rising rapidly, how to deal with the relations with international society, determine its own international identity, how to make localization in the international society is one of the main topics in Chinese diplomacy. China's reform and open policy for nearly 30 years is not only the period in which Chinese synthesis strength obviously promotes, the material force expands, and China rises rapidly, but also is the process in which China participates in the international society, reforges the national identity and makes national socialization. China starts to reconsider and construct its own national identity, according to which it carries out new adjustment in the diplomatic practice. Start from the view of constructivism, this paper elaborates the construction, the connotation and the characteristic of Chinese national identity, from deep level analyzes the influence that Chinese country status has produced to the Chinese peace development diplomacy, and through the analysis of Chinese national identity, the paper proposes several enlightenments which have great significance to the construction or Chinese national identity.This paper contains three parts: Introduction, the main text and Conclusion.The introduction part elaborates the practical significance and the theoretical significance of the selected topic; combs the domestic and foreign present situations of constructivism research, explains the research method of this paper; points out the paper's innovational point.The main text altogether is divided four small parts.First, this paper summarizes the constructivism international relations theory, uses the domestic and foreign scholars research results for references, defines constructivism core concepts, the concepts of identity and national identity of the constructivism, and analyzes the relations between the principle of constructivism and the foreign policy , this part is the theoretical base of the paper.Second, analyzes the connotation of Chinese national identity from the view of the constructivism. Analyzes the significance of the construction of the intrinsic stratification and external stratification construction of Chinese national identity; analyzes the connotation, the characteristic of Chinese national identity. This is the key part of the paper.Third, analyzes the influence of Chinese national identity to Chinese peace development diplomacy from three aspects, it includes the influence of Chinese national identity to the Chinese peace development diplomacy strategy, to the Chinese regional policy aspect and to the transforms of China participating in the international system behavior.Fourth, the enlightenment of Chinese national identity to the Chinese peace development diplomacy in globalization time.This part pays great attention to maintaining the security of Chinese culture, it should strengthen the cultural diplomacy to realize the national interest, strengthen the construction of the Chinese soft power, as well as strengthen the construction of the national prestige in the international contact, and enhance the national image, from these aspects the paper analyzes the enlightenment of Chinese national identity to the Chinese peace development diplomacy in globalization time.The conclusion analyzes Chinese and international society's benign interaction, China should continue to enhance the international society's approval to China, deepens the inside cooperation strategy culture, also should take more consideration on the culture security interests and other non- traditional security interests, and create a good international environment for Chinese peace development. As a great cultural nation, China should fully excavate the rich cultural resources in the Chinese national identity construction, and exerts its cultural strength. Meanwhile the paper makes response to the so-called"Chinese threat theory"in international society.
