The "Golden Shield Project" has been implemented for 10 years in China. In recent years. With the rapid development of police informationization and the constant reform of police mechanism, the police work are depending on police information systems more and more. Although the information systems can improve police work, they must be accepted and used accurately by the police officers firstly. Today the study about the users' acceptance of information technology is considered as one of the attention-getting researches on information systems, and practically it is significative to advance police informationization from "the Investment and Construction Period" to "the Application and Development Period".In this paper, an empirical research on the acceptance of the police information systems for the local police officers from the branches of Kunming Police Bureau will be given out, based on Davis' Technology Acceptance Model and Ajzen's Theory of Planned Behavior, through multidisciplinary approach, including Management, Behavior and Statistics etc. In this research, the ways to verify the hypotheses will be described: the results of the questionnaires and interviews to 22 local police stations are analyzed by descriptive statistics, regression analysis and variance analysis, using the statistical software named SPSS 13.0. Then some suggestions for improving the applications of police information systems will be made, according to the primary influencing factors on the users' acceptance of local police information systems. The main conclusions are as follows:1) Three dimensions, "Attitude", "Perceived Behavior Control", and "Subjective Norm", are the intermediate variables and the major influencing factors on "Behavior intention" for local police information systems, among which the "Attitude" influences most, and the other two factors' are reduced orderly. The study also found that, in addition to "Behavior intention" which is a decisive influencing factor on "Behavior" for local police information systems, "Perceived Behavior Control" has certain influence on "Behavior".2) In Leading variables, "ease of use", "compatibility", "usefulness" and "reliability" are the influencing factors on "Attitude", of which the effects are reduced orderly; "Self-Efficacy", "Technology Facilitating Conditions" and "Resources Facilitating Conditions" are the influencing factors on "Perceived Behavior Control", of which the effects are reduced orderly; "Superior Influence" and "Peer Influence" are the influencing factors on "Subjective Norm", of which the effects are reduced orderly.3) The influence of "Behavior intention" and "Behavior" for police information systems on the local police officers are obviously various, based on their different gender, age, education, position, background and experience of work.
