At the Seventeenth Congress of CPC, our Party definitely puts forward that we must comprehensively implement the rule of law as a fundamental principle and speed up building a socialist country under the rule of law, We must respect and safeguard human rights, and ensure the equal right to participation and development for all members of society in accordance with the law. We must safeguard social equity and justice and the consistency, sanctity and authority of the socialist legal system. All these are essential requirements of building a socialist country under the rule of law. The construction of the society, which is going to be ruled of law, must uphold human-oriented idea, take comprehensively implementing people's rights, promoting people's free and equal development as the soul of the construction. Also this is the essential demand of the Scientific Outlook on Development. Consisting with the view above, constructing a society ruled of law needs many persons——lawyers. Because its realization means that a lot of such persons fully exercise their function. Such kind of people will be always the lifeblood of a society under the rule of law. The achievement of the society is a project of molding and educating the people in it as well.Here the topic of this paper is mainly about how to enhance students'legal ethics, one of the basic qualities that a law student needs to have, during their legal education in law school. We can say that legal ethics is the most important quality that a qualified law student has to seize. This paper includes something about the connotation, significance, status quo and teaching on legal ethics education. I hope that this paper can do a little benefit to our legal ethics education. The text consists of four parts.Part I: This part mainly offers a summarization on legal ethics education, including some concepts connecting with legal ethics, the connotation, contents, goals and significance of legal ethics education.Part II: This part discusses the reasons and the advantages of launching legal ethics education in law school. The reasons are analyzed in two aspects——one is that running the country with morality and running the country under the rule of law demand so, the other is that the character and the training goals of legal education require us to do like this. The advantages we have in this period include four. Students have rich law knowledge fund, students are at a best age of promoting their morality, learning surroundings influence and successful experience of other countries.Part III: This part is mainly about legal ethics education in our country. It points out the shortage of our legal ethics education at present, such as: the lower position compared with other law courses, lagging of teachers, legal ethics teaching and teaching methods. In this part, you can also find the analysis of what causes the shortage above. Such as: little attention on the importance of legal ethics education, negative influence of surroundings and instrumentalism. Then some assumptions about legal ethics education have been advanced, including teaching plan and teaching methods.Part IV: This part is a brief conclusion——Although many difficulties are still ahead,we still have to strengthen our legal ethics education. Only in this way, can we get the real qualified law student.
