Competition And Cooperation: Building A Harmonious Relationship Between Our Government And Nonprofit Organizations

Since the country initiated its reform and opening-up policy, as the non-profit organizations (NPOS) in our country developed rapidly, they have taken on the most advantages in the area of society reforming, and to be one of the main parts of the public governing areas. Then, because both the government and the NPOS are main parts in the public management areas, it is to be concerned in the public area that what kind of reasonable interaction ought to be established between them so as to develop themselves and improve public management efficiency. In the recent years, Chinese NPOS have earned huge development space because of government reforming. The interaction between our government and NPOS has made greater improvements than before, but many new problems need to be solved in the new case. So, in order to promote the continued development of the NPOS and to accelerate the society governance, it is urgent to search the way to constitute the harmonious relationship between our government and the NPOS.This paper will summarize the interrelated content of the NPOS at first, and analyze the present situation of the harmonious relationship between our government and the NPOS. Then, the paper will put forward thelocation of the relationship between our government and the NPOS----compete and cooperate. At last, the paper will discuss how to constitute the harmonious relationship between our government and the NPOS with the reference of corresponding experience in the western countries, and will suggest five ways of constituting the harmonious relationship between our government and the NPOS.
