International Ngo With The Development Of China's Grassroots Democracy

The development of China's grass-roots democracy has caused the extensive concern of the international community, also getting the support and help from International Non-governmental Organizations. Although China's grass-roots democracy arises mainly from the domestic political, economic and social development, International Non-government Organizations as the exterior power also play very important roles.That is to say, the research of this thesis accords to the following assumption: under developing and reforming of China's political democracy, effects of the exterior power such as Non-governmental Organizations will speed up China's grass-roots democracy, but also exist to certain limitations.This thesis takes the Carter Center as example, which introduces International Non-government Organizations how to cooperate with the official sections, local research organizations and universities in China, and to provide the funds, techniques, experiences and the procedure rules of concrete operations etc.Based on this example, the thesis analyzes domestic and international reasons that International Non-governmental Organizations can get involved in the progress of China's grass-roots democracy. It sums up the roles of International Non-governmental Organizations which are included in observing local elections, inviting Chinese officials to go abroad for observation and study, researching the situations of China's democracy, training local people, and providing the advises to revise the laws and rules. The thesis also states bad influences in national security and social values etc.
