Chinese Trade Unions. France Under The Mission Perspective: Status, Problems And Change

In China,labour union is a public organization of the workers' class under the leadership of the Communist Party, and also serves as a bridge of the communication between the Party and the workers,as well as the representative and effective protector of the lawful right of the workers.The labour union,as an important social power,plays a significant and irreplaceable role in the protection of the right of the workers,the harmonization of labour relationship,and the stahility of social order.After China adopted the opening policy,with the establishment and improvement of the socialism market economic system,a deep transformation has taken place gradually regarding the economic relationship and labour relationship, and during such process the labour union has also undergone corresponding adjustment with certain achievement,However, the current systematic transformation of Chinese society is unique and unprecedented,namely,the power of marketization under the guide and promotion by state power has strong impact on all areas of economic,social and political systems,and has completely changed the social appearance and reformed the social lives.Due to the significant changes in the aspects of government administrative model,social economic system, operation mode of enterprises as well as the structure of workers' group,the labour union also encountered great challenges:a great number of foreign invested enterprises and private enterprises have not yet established labour union;the current labour union system fails to fully cover the workers in the diversified social economic units,how to consolidate the different interest request,in the labour group,whether the labour union has effectively responded the request of the workers to protect their interest,etc.Many labour union operators and lahour movement researchers have had hot discussion in this regard.According to this Article,as a non-governmental public administrative organization,labour union has become an inseparable part of the social system in a modern state, consequently,a series of new requirements shall be raised regarding the theory and practice of labour union in the present social transformation of China.This Article intends to discuss the transformation of labour union under the analyzing framework of the relationship between "state and society", to explain the transformation and change of the Chinese labour union by the corporatism theory,and to discuss how to incorporate the labour union into the national political system during this transitional period of China,as well as to discuss the relationship between the country and the labour union as a social organization.Through a historical retrospection of the development of labour union in China,to contemplate its current status and existing problems,and to find out the dynamic causations for further transformation and systematic guarantee of labour union,as well as to define the trend of such transaction in the future.
