When human society enters into the era of knowledge economy, knowledge has become essential resource to the growth of economy, progress of society, as well as development of organizations. With the gradual identification of this trend, knowledge management has come into our vision, which has become a bran-new way of scientific management. Based on the establishment of knowledge exchange station, knowledge resource database, and other relative mechanism, it allows every member easily obtain, share and repeatedly use all explicit and tacit knowledge in the organization, which result in innovation and spread of knowledge, as well as improvement in all operation work's quality. Therefore, with popularization of knowledge management, we can collect, integrate, and abstract the scattered knowledge inside the organization into a comprehensive knowledge system, turn personal knowledge and wisdom into common knowledge resource through sharing and communication, and cultivate corporate culture of study, share and cooperation. These progresses will improve the creativity and competitiveness for both individuals and the organization.After summarizing the content, mode and experience of knowledge management practice in GMOSAT (Guangzhou Municipal Office, State Administration of Taxation), as well as introduction and comment on knowledge management theory, this thesis studies and compares practice of knowledge management in both modern corporations and administrative departments. Base on the above research, this thesis take GMOSAT as an example to analyze how to share individual knowledge, integrate individual knowledge to corporate knowledge, and develop together for both individual and the organization. In the end, the author gives suggestion on how to implement and improve knowledge management in administrative departments.
