Government Knowledge Management

Nowadays knowledge management has become the focus of attention, but problems of government knowledge management, especially from the perspective of management information systems, are still not studied enough. Firstly, based on the synthesizing and deepening on theories of knowledge management inside and outside of China, this research topic summarized one of the most important measures of successful government knowledge management is the use of management information systems (MISs). Secondly, this research focus on how to use management information systems to sustain the successful government knowledge management, set up a system of knowledge management systems which are propitious to storage, transmit, share, and create knowledge. Thirdly, concrete index of knowledge management systems of government has been labeled and status of Suzhou Industrial Park Administrative Committee's knowledge management have been measured by the qualitative and quantitive analysis. Some macro basic conclusions and policy suggestions have been made for the committee and other government departments. Few people studied government knowledge management from the perspective of MISs, so this research can give them an example.
